The rules that keep StoryForge safe for readers and sustainable for authors.

DMCA Policy

1. Our commitment

StoryForge respects intellectual-property rights and complies with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent laws elsewhere. We remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material when we receive a valid notice, and we act against repeat infringers where appropriate.

2. Filing a takedown notice

Send your notice via Settings → Support with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) the URLs of the infringing material; (c) your contact information; (d) a good-faith statement; (e) an accuracy statement under penalty of perjury plus your authorization; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.

3. What happens next

We review the notice, and may remove or disable the material, notify the uploader, and record the strike. Incomplete notices may be returned for correction.

4. Counter-notification

If you believe the removal was mistaken, submit a counter-notice with your contact details, identification of the removed material and its location before removal, consent to jurisdiction and service of process, a good-faith statement, and your signature. We may restore the material 10–14 business days after forwarding it unless the complainant files court action.

5. Repeat infringers

Accounts with multiple valid strikes lose publishing privileges and may be permanently suspended, including forfeiture of related pending earnings.

6. Misuse warnings

Knowingly filing false notices or counter-notices can expose you to liability (for example, under DMCA §512(f)). Please use this system honestly.
